Gunner & Dallas

Gunner & Dallas live with their hooman, Katrina, in Waterdown. Katrina loves animals and owns We Made FETCH Happen, a dog walking company. It’s perfect for Gunner & Dallas because they get tons of walks with doggo friends!

Katrina also owns a beautiful cottage, The Boho Jungalow, in Peacock Point, ON. That’s where these images were taken. She decorated it herself and rents it out to people looking for a quiet lakeside getaway. When it’s not booked up, Katrina and the bros go down on weekends to hang out.

How have your dogs changed your life?
"My dogs keep me active and have made me more outgoing. People always stop us to meet the boys and that's been good for me. They love it. If someone doesn't give them attention they get confused. They want ALL the attention!”

If Gunner & Dallas were characters from a movie, who would they be?
“Definetly Seth Rogan & James Franco’s characters in Pineapple Express. Or, Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly’s characters in Step Brothers. Basically any brother/bromance type characters!”

Describe the boys in a few words each:
Gunner: Alpha, Cuddly, Big Suck
Dallas: Quirky, Happy-Go-Lucky

How did the 3 of you become a family?
"When I was younger there was a lady who’d walk her 2 samoyeds in my neighbourhood and I’d always run over to pet them. I was obsessed, I dreamt about having 2 of my own. Once I grew up and knew I could take care of them, I asked my parents. It took some convincing, but they finally said yes. That’s when I got Gunner. About 2 years later we were having drinks and I convinced them again, that’s when I found Dallas. We’ve been a happy family ever since!”

What are some of their funny habits?
“Dallas loves swimming.
They play tag and Dallas bites Gunner (playfully) to tag him.
They act like teenage brothers, always goofing around.”

What are some challenges of taking care of Samoyeds?
“Grooming is a lot, it’s really hard to keep them clean. And I’m always mindful of their separation anxiety, where ever I go - they do too. We’re a package deal.”
