What was it about Pacino that made you want to adopt him?
"We always wanted a dog and when we picked him up he was so small and scared we instantly felt protective over him. We knew we had to adopt him so we put in an application right away.”
What’s your best/funniest memory involving Pacino?
Ty and Cait smiled, “Well, the day we picked him up was a funny day. Pacino had just traveled 30hrs from Texas and he was so scared that during our 45min drive home he pooped in the car SEVEN times!” They started to laugh. “The first couple of times it happened we just dealt with it. We understood he was really scared so we expected that to happen. It wasn’t a big mess which made it easy to clean. We’d happily pull over, clean it up, then get back on the road. But, as it continued to happen over and over again it became funnier and funnier. We couldn’t believe how much poop he had in him! By poop 4 we thought it would definitely be out of his system, but nope! He just kept going and going.”
What are some of his quirks/funny habits?
“He loves to eat wood chips and the fuzz off of tennis balls. He’s gentle with his toys, but a bone he will eat in 10 seconds. And if we kiss, he will get jealous and kiss us too!”
If Pacino was a person, who would he be?
“He’s that needy best friend who always keeps in touch. He’d probably be texting you all day to see if you can hang out.”
What’s his favourite game to play?
“Fetch at the park, but it took him awhile to warm up to it. We had to show him how to do it and reward him with treats, but now he’s a pro!”
What’s the hardest part of raising Pacino?
Cait replied, “Personally, I’m really obsessed with his training which can stress me out if I start to think I’m not doing a good enough job.”
Ty added, “The hardest part for me is when we have to leave him alone, I always feel so bad.”
What’s the most rewarding part of raising him?
“When you realize you’re his person.”
