Benny, Coco & Millie
This is a special time in Anna and Adam’s lives. They’re taking care of their boy, Benny, who is getting older and has a heart condition. They’ve welcomed a new puppy, Millie, to give Benny some comfort and help with the transition. And they’re proud parents of Coco, their kitty.

How did you pick their names?
“Benny was originally named Chaos, which didn’t match his sweet personality, so we wanted a new name. We’re fans of Elton John, so Benny is inspired by his song, ‘Bennie and the Jets’.
Coco was rescued from Montreal, so when we picked her name we wanted something French. The brand Coco Chanel came to mind and we thought that was cute, so we went with Coco.
And Millie is sort of funny because our last name is Millington, so when we said Millie Millington out loud we laughed and it stuck.”
Do they have any funny habits or quirks?
“Benny LOVES cheese and will do anything for it, or for food. He’s is very food motivated. He’s also good with ropes; one day Anna was in a raft with a rope attached to the front and just grabbed it with his mouth and started pulling her around!
Coco is always relaxed with Adam and won’t ever bother him, but with me she’ll wake me up; sometimes by putting her paw in my mouth, which is disgusting.” Anna laughed and then continued, “But, she does lay with me when I’m in pain from my health condition. She’s very sweet when she wants to be and always knows how to help me through the pain somehow.”
Adam added, “And she’s always been an indoor cat, but recently Anna brought her outside on our hammock and she loves it.”
“Millie is new so we don’t know everything about her yet, but she’s super sweet. We expected her to bite everyone as a puppy, but she doesn’t, she’ll just lick us. And whenever she hears a loud noise outside, like cars or children, she’ll just sit down at and watch out the window. She doesn’t move, she just watches intently. It doesn’t seem like she’s protecting the house, but more like she is very curious and wide-eyed to the world. It’s really cute.”
