Finley
This Border Collie, Finley, lives in Mississauga with his hoomans, Carly & Alex. They invited me into their home to capture priceless memories they can look back on forever. We had a lot of fun shooting inside their home and in their backyard. My favourite series is the one where he's chasing bubbles outside. There's a few really funny faces in here.

If Finley had a people-profession, what would he be?
“A trampolinist”
How did you pick his name?
“Alex always liked the name and it connects to Finley’s Scottish roots.”
How did you become a furfamily?
Alex replied, “I always had dogs growing up, but with my long hours at work I couldn’t have one by myself, so I waited for the right time. When Carly and I moved in together, she really wanted one so we started looking.”
“I remember standing by the sink and thinking about a little puppy running around the house. From that moment on I was obsessed with the idea. I couldn’t even go down the pet isle at the store without crying!” Carly laughed, “so I begged Alex and luckily he wanted a dog too, and we found Finley.”
What’s one of your favourite memories with Finley?
“This is a crazy story! We went to the store when Finley was young and we were trying to keep him away from other dogs, just to be safe. When we first entered I saw another dog and wondered if it was a Border Collie as well, but I steered Finley away so I couldn’t ask. But, while we were walking around Finley kept whining and pulling towards that other dog. Eventually I asked what breed they were and we got to talking; it turns out the dog was Finley’s litter mate! He recognized his sister! And they weren’t even born around here but they both ended up living in the same neighborhood and met each other at the store!”
Does he have any funny habits or quirks?
“His whole personality is a quirk” Carly smiled. “He’s obsessed with leaves, pieces of mulch and water. I swear he tries to talk to us; he’ll grumble when mad and screech when he’s happy. He loves Beagles. He also loves bike rides and sleeping on his back with his legs in the air. He’ll always have one ear up though, listening.”
