Katie posted about her session on instagram @katieworksoutnow, and what she said was so empowering and authentic, I had to share it here:

“Be you. Authentic you. Be UNAPOLOGETICALLY you.

I am ✨EXTRA✨ And I mean screaming with a strong emphasis on sparkle. I’m the kind of person who bleached and dyed their hair blue to match their dog’s and hired a photographer to capture this moment in time. Even that wasn’t enough; I went out in search of an outfit for this moment and came home with a blue crinoline. There isn’t one part of my thought process that isn’t full of fabulous. Bitch bleeds glitter and rainbows.

I’m done with toning it down. I will not dull my shine to make you more comfortable. Because all these things I do? I’m not hurting anyone. My sparkle and shine is a mf BEACON, guiding the way for the people meant to be in my life.

I just want to be me and be noticed for being me so that the people who will love me know they are safe with me. And I’ll be honest, not all of you belong there. The people judging me for being too much? They probably haven’t read this far 😂
