Felix

Felix’s hoomans, Amanda and Rich, recently bought their first townhouse together. They wanted to document the beginning of their family’s new journey. Felix was happy to be the star!

How did you pick his name?
“I always loved Felix the cat” Rich answered, “and the CIA agent named Felix in James Bond. And when I saw his face I thought, ‘Yep that’s a Felix.’”
“And it’s funny because we always describe him as happy-go-lucky, and Felix means happy/lucky!” Amanda added.

How did you become a family?
“We always wanted a dog but also wanted to wait until after our destination wedding. Growing up we had dogs and other pets, so we were eager but patient. Once we got married and settled into our routine we began looking for a cavalier. We liked them because of their temperament. We found a breeder and were told it was going to be a long wait because they had sold out. But, luckily for us, someone backed out last minute on a pup and the breeder gave us a call. We said yes right away and went and picked up Felix!”

What are some of your favourite memories with him?
“Every time we take him for a walk we get a comment on how cute he is. And, every time we go to bed he attacks us with love.”

If he was a person, who would he be?
“He’d be Fabio because he’s a model and has long hair” Amanda laughed, “Rich always calls him Fabio.”
“Yeah, he’s a super model/actor type for sure.” Rich agreed.

Does Felix have any quirks or funny habits?
“He always has to lay against something. He doesn’t like to lay out in the open, his back always has to be against something.”
